The Nikon Coolpix P500 is a compact digital camera, with the feel and look of an SLR camera. This latest Nikon camera is powered by EXPEED 2 dual image processor. P500 is a 12.1 megapixel camera and has a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor. The Coolpix P500 has aspect ratios of 4:3 and 16:9. The 36x wide-angle optical Zoom Nikkor ED glass lens in this camera provides the longest zoom ever integrated in the Coolpix cameras. Body The Nikon P500 weighs 494g (with battery and memory card) and has dimension of 115.5 x 83.7 x 102.5 mm. This Nikon compact digital camera comes with an Electronic Viewfinder. The 3-inch TFT LCD monitor comes with anti-reflection coating and has a resolution of 921,000 dot pixels. The LCD can also be tilted 82° downward and 90° upward. The P500 has internal memory of 102 MB and supports external memory cards such as SD, SDHC, SDXC.
