Synopsis of Leonor Fini
A complete volume dedicated to the extensive output of a great 20th century Italian artist, Leonor Fini (1907-1996), a friend of the Surrealists, close to the Dada movement, fascinated by the theatre, but always herself, a woman and a star of enormous dynamism. Paul Eluard dedicated poems to her, she was photographed by Cartier-Bresson and Man Ray, she was a painter close to Surrealism, a scriptwriter, costume designer and illustrator and the person responsible for various ups and downs in Italian art-history criticism circles. 'Leonor Fini' will do justice not only to her career as an artist and star but also her paintings, which are full of her vivacious spirit, and her extraordinary personality that Max Ernst defined as the Italian fury in Paris .
